Drug Abuse
2. Aims
The key aims of the RSRA were:
1. Study the extent and nature of drug use (demographic characteristics, drug use patterns, risk behaviours, knowledge and attitudes in relation to HIV/AIDS) and its associated adverse health consequences in the countries of Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal and Sri Lanka.
2. Assess the extent and nature of injecting drug use.
3. Recommend an action plan to reduce the adverse consequences of drug abuse.
