The announcement of the Third regional AIDS conference is sent below.

 

The event will take place on 28-30 October; again in Moscow where opioid substitution therapy is not available.

 

 

 

The conference will be bilingual (English, Russian). Organizers: Russian government with the leadership of Rospotrebnadzor, also UNAIDS, the Global Fund and the International AIDS Conference. Groups of people living with HIV are involved from early stages: Volodia Zhovtyak from All Ukrainian Network of PLHIV and East Europe and Central Asia Union of PLHIV Organizations is part of organizing committee as well as Igor from Moldova.

 

 

 

Program will be defined by programme committees which are now being formed (not sure who is invited – but I got the invitation). Preliminary one day will be dedicated to drug use.

 

 

 

2500 participants are expected. There will be scholarships. Early registration starts next week on April 1.

The Third Eastern Europe and Central Asia AIDS Conference will take place in Moscow, 28-30 October  2009.

 

 

 

The Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Well being  of the Russian Federation, the United Nations Joint Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS), and the International AIDS Society (IAS) joined together to organize Third  Eastern Europe and  Central Asia Aids Conference.

 

 

 

Conference offers unique opportunities to commercial and non-commercial organizations  to showcase their products and services to the largest gathering of HIV/AIDS professionals in the region. With over 1300 square meters of prime exhibition space and more than 2500 participants expected, your organization cannot afford to miss this chance to reach so many key players in the regional response to HIV/AIDS.

 

 

 

Participants will include- researchers, scientists, doctors and other health care providers, political and grass-roots leaders and people living with HIV/AIDS. The exhibition floor is situated by the plenary hall to ensure high volumes of traffic and highest   visibility.

 

 

 

 

 

Intended for Conference participants, satellite meetings are organized and coordinated by the party hosting the satellite (private company, government agency, institution or NGO). Conference organizers have made satellite slots available for a fee, which is based on the time slot, and slots have been allocated based on the overall programme of the day.

Организаторами Конференции с российской стороны выступает Федеральная служба по надзору в сфере защиты прав потребителей и благополучия человека, при поддержке международных организаций, включая Объединенную программу  ООН по ВИЧ/СПИД(ЮНЭЙДС),Международное общество по СПИДу (IAS), Глобальный Фонд по борьбе со СПИДом, туберкулезом и малярией.

 

 

 

Третья  Конференция  дает уникальные  возможности  коммерческим  и  общественным организациям представить свои  материалы  и услуги  широкому кругу профессионалов,

 

работающих в области ВИЧ/СПИДа в регионе.

 

 

 

Выставка  разместится  более чем  на 1300 квадратных метрах. У  Вас  есть возможность  привлечь внимание  более 2500  участников, среди  которых  медицинские  работники, организаторы  здравоохранения, ученые, представители  министерств, политические и общественные деятели, сотрудники  и добровольцы  общественныхорганизаций, люди живущие  с  ВИЧ.

Имеется  возможность  организации  сателлитов   каждый день  конференции. Стоимость  определяется временем проведения  сателлита.
