Nominate a Colleague for an IHRA Award

Nominations are now open for four IHRA Awards to be presented at Harm Reduction 2010: IHRA’s 21st International Conference in Liverpool, England in April 2010.

All awards close on the 28th January 2010. The Paolo Pertica Fellowship closes on 28th February 2010.

International Rolleston Award
Deadline = January 29th 2010
This award is presented each year to an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to harm reduction at the international level. Nominations are welcome from all around the world, and neither the nominee nor the person making the nomination needs to be IHRA members.

National Rolleston Award (England)
Deadline = January 29th 2010
This award will be presented to an individual or organisation in the UK who has made outstanding contributions to reducing harm from psychoactive substances in the country. Neither the nominee nor the person making the nomination needs to be IHRA members.

Carol and Travis Jenkins Award
Deadline = January 29th 2010
This award has been presented each year to a current or former drug user who has made an outstanding contribution to reducing drug related harm. The winner of the Carol and Travis Jenkins award receives a cheque for $500US courtesy of a donation from the family and friends of Carol and Travis Jenkins.

The Paolo Pertica Fellowship
Deadline = February 28th 2010
This Fellowship was established in 2004 to encourage innovative harm reduction work or research in prison and other custodial settings. The winner will receive a one year grant of up to €10,000 to develop a small project to improve the conditions of people who use drugs in prisons. The completed project report will then be presented at the 2011 IHRA conference.
